Halloween Festivities 2012

Here we are again carving our pumpkins like pro's!  Dad is in charge of carving out all the guts in all the pumpkins after that we start carving.  I love that as the kids get older we don't have to carve their pumpkins for them anymore.  Now we just have to teach Calvin how to carve his own pumpkin.

Here they are all lit.

Kaleigh was a jeanie, Hagen-Venim, Sidney-Ladybug, and Calvin a cow.
We love trick or treating

Jared and Calvin

So, this is really funny.  Sidney was really worn out on the drive home from trick or treating.  Cracks me up!

The day before Halloween Calvin, Sidney, and I were running errands.  I got the kids some chicken nuggets.  Calvin took a bite and fell asleep.  He held on to that nugget until we got home.  Soo funny!

October 2012 Miscellaneous Pictures

Soo, I just got a new camera.  So that means that I am going to update on a regular basis and my pictures are not going to look yellow anymore!  And now I can take lots and lots of pictures!  Yea!

He looks like a little gnome!

The yellow hat is actually the cardboard that goes inside the witch hat so it will stand up.  Cute kids!

The firestation did an open house with free cotton candy, I think that was their favorite part of the whole thing.

My cute little calvin getting so big.  He is not a baby any more.

Kaleigh and Olivia's Baptism 2012

On September 30th, Kaleigh and Olivia wer Baptised.  I love the example that they are and especially the example that Kaleigh is to her brothers and sister.  I am very proud and honored to be Kaleigh's Mom and Olivia's aunt.  More Pix to come as soon as I get them.

September 2012 happenings

September was a busy month.  I also haven't updated the blog in a long time, I am definately going to try better at blogging on a normal basis.
On a Sunday after church we drove to SLC go to the cemetary and then went to Liberty park to let the kids play.
Sidney and Hagen playing in the water.

Kaleigh

Calvin slept the entire time we were at the park and then woke up right as we were leaving and he was not a happy that we had to leave.
 Nuskin Lagoon Party
We love the lagoon parties.  My brother and his family joined us this year.  We split up at the beginning and at the end we took a picture that I am still waiting for a copy of.  I love that my kids are getting older and able to ride the big kid rides.  Calvin loved the cars and boats and whatever he was able ride and cried every time he had to leave.  Sidney couldn't ride all the rides but did ride more than she could last year and it was really cute watching her expression.
Hagen and Kaleigh are now able to ride all the big kid rides.  kaleigh rode the basic and but wouldn't ride any of the roller coasters.  Hagen didn't want to disapoint his Uncle Lance so he rode the colosis and the wicked.  His favorite was the wicked.  I was suprised.

 Crazy Little Calvin
This little guy has quite the personality.  He loves cars and pretty much just plays with cars on a regular basis.  He decided to climb into the laundry basket and fly his car above his head.

He definately loves his big sister.  He likes to tease more than anything.  They were watching Sesame Street.  He was sitting on top of her and then he realized he could push her head down and he would laugh and laugh.

Calvin is 18 months

My baby is 18 months!!  This little guy has gotton so big and is no longer a sweet little baby.  He isn't using words yet but grunts a lot to tell me what he wants.  He loves balls and cars and always has one in his hands at all times.  He drinks from a sippy and prefers a fork and spoon over eating with his fingers.  He doesn't share very well and when he wants something he screams at the top of his lungs until he gets what he wants (we are trying to work on that).  He loves his sister, Sidney, he snuggles with her and when he is sad he wants her to hug him, especially when mom is the one who got upset with him.  He has a playful personality and is always into something.  Lately he has started coloring all over my walls and couch.  He likes to throw stuff in the toilet, and if someone else is touching an item he needs to touch it too.  He makes my day even better and I would be lost with out him.  I am so thankful for this little guy, with out him my day wouldn't be so eventful.

Lego Building- Aug. 2012

For FHE in August we went to a lego building family fun night.  Their were instructions on how to build stuff out of legos.  The kids had fun going from table to table making stuff.  This was a good activity especially since the kids play with legos daily.
Sid and Kaleigh building the eiffel tower.

Here is Sid holding the completed Eiffel Tower

Hagen Build the whitehouse and put a lego ninja on the top.

this was Calvin's reaction to the whole experience.  He was not interested in playing with the legos and just wanted to climb the stairs in the building and Mom was tired of climbing the stairs.  He wasn't a happy camper.

School Year 2012/2013

School is finally here!  Not only was Mom excited but so were the kids, finally!  Below is a pix of the Smith crew the morning of the first day of school.
Kaleigh is in the third grade.  She has lots of friends and they call her Kay Kay.  She has grown up sooo much and is smart, helpful, Sassy, and the most amazing kid ever.  I don't know what I would do with out her.  She is the best big sister ever.
Hagen is in 1st grade and loves lego anything.  He loves movies and superhero's.  He always gives  hugs and wears his emotions on his sleeve.  He is an amazing kid.
Sidney was able to get into the preschool at Westmore and she loves school sooo much.  She is learning her letters and tells me what every letter is every where we go.  She is a sassy little 4 year old who is never afraid to tell mom and dad no and is full of personality.  She loves her little brother and is always looking out for him.  when he is sad and mom is not happy with him he hugs his sister instead, which just melts my heart.
Calvin stays home with mom and plays and naps.  He is constantly growing and changing.
Kaliegh, Sidney, Hagen, Calvin

Here we are eating cookies and talking about our first day of school.  Sidney had her testing to see if she got into the pre-school that morning.

As you can tell she was able to get into the pre-school that Westmore offers.  She is next to her teacher Mrs. Scholle.
