Halloween- Oct. 31, 2014

Halloween 2014
It has been a busy month!
We tried planning a date to carve pumpkins and it just didn't work out.  On the 31st after the kiddos came home from school we carved our pumpkins and then got ready for the Trunk or Treat and Fall Festival at the church.
Ready to go! Elsa, Wolverine, Anna, and Lego Superman.
Calvin still needs a little help from Dad.
Just a quick pix with the kids and their pumpkins.
Kaleigh was more than happy to take Annie to get Candy.  She is going to be a great baby sitter.

Reflections: The World Would Be a Better Place If... - Oct. 30, 2014

Every year the kids always want to enter the reflections contest and sometimes I think it would be less stress in my life to not do so.  But, they love it so we keep doing it.
We chose to do photography.
Both Kaleigh and Sid received a certificate of merit and Hagen placed in his age group and continues on since he was able to place!
Sid wrote a paragraph about planting more trees.
kaleigh wrote about exercising and not playing as much video games.
Hagen wrote about getting out and riding your bikes places instead of driving.

Day Trip to Temple Square Oct. 25, 2014

A few weekends ago Jared had to work convention weekend for Nuskin and since he would be there all weekend he was given a hotel room at the Marriot.  The kids and I drove up on Friday and stayed until Saturday.  On Saturday while Jared was working we went to Temple Square.  We usually come to look at the lights so I was excited to have more time to spend with the kiddos exploring.
Calvin, Sidney, Kaleigh, and Hagen at the entrance of Temple Square.
We walked through the little church and the old tabernacle.  Talked to many Sister Missionaries.
The kids loved the statue of Christ

It was really nice just to sit and listen and watch the kids who thought the statue was amazing.
After we walked through temple square we were able to get a tour of the new tabernacle and go to the top to see the garden areas.
Can you tell it was windy day!
When I was little my Dad would take me and my brothers to the top of the Joseph Smith building to see the view of the temple at night.  That is one of my favorite memories and I was so excited to share that with my kiddos.  Jared was finally off work so we all went as a family.
