Preschool trip to the Red Barn with Calvin Oct. 14, 2014

A fun part of having a parent based preschool is that We get to go on field trips.
We went to The Red Barn is Santaquin where they have amazing apple doughnuts and a fun hayride to the pumpkin patch.
Camille, Calvin, Bina, Pace, Joshie, Jessa, and Max waiting for the Hay ride.
Calvin going down the fun slides.

The entire gang posing for a group pix
Calvin picked out his own pumpkin.
Calvin thought the pumpkin was too heavy to carry to he opted to carry my purse.  It was probably heavier, made me laugh!

This kid makes me laugh.  He is a little more spoiled than my others but he is also my last.  My last baby and my last experience with the precious milestones one can encounter with a child.  I am sure glad I get to experience it with this little guy!

Hee Haws- Oct. 9, 2014

Hee Haws!
Every year we get invited to a customer appreciation night at Hee Haws by Amilynn who sold our Dad's houses in Salt Lake City.  The kids love it!  It is perfect for a fun evening and we look forward to it every year.  We met up with Des and Olivia and also invited to Felix family to join us as well.

Fire Station- Preschool field trip activity Oct. 8, 2014

Fire Station Open House
For a field trip for the cute little preschool kids we went to the annual Fire Station open house.  It was a lot of fun for the kids to get to see the ambulances, fire trucks, and emergency vehicles up close.
We have just gotten our hats and badges, stocked up on the popcorn and cotton candy and now we are ready to go.
Bina, Camilla, Jessa, Calvin, Max, Pace, and Kam
(Camilla, Jessa, Calvin, and Max are the four kiddos doing the parent based preschool)
Calvin had a succor in his mouth and he couldn't quite decide which he should hold onto the succor or the hose.
We had front row seat for the fire demonstration.  Only problem was that when the hose turned on above our heads the wind decided to shift and the water started spraying everyone.  The kids all started crying.
I was trying to get a pix of all the kiddos in the life flight helicopter.  Too many shadows but they thought it was fun to actually get in.
All these kiddos are waiting for their turn in the smoke room.
They learned about not drinking any hazardous liquids that may be stored under the sink, not touching hot surfaces or pans on a stove, and also about crawling under the smoke during the fire. I was quite impressed that they actually payed attention while the guy was talking.
They were able to explore and emergency vehicle that transports supplies
These two little boys are the best of friends.
Not only do they live next door to each other, they spend so much time together and they get a long so well.  All day at the fire station they both were so concerned where the other person was.
We are ready to go home.  All buckled in and sporting their new hats!

Corn Bellys- October 2, 2014

Rrr Matey!! September 2014

September 19th was talk like a pirate day.  We love that Krispy Kreme makes a big deal of it.
Calvin and I went to Krispy Kreme dressed as pirates and also talked like a pirate and we each got a free dozen donuts.
I had to post this since it is super funny.  On the 2nd of October was parent teacher conferences.  Everyone is doing great.
Hagen wrote a letter to his dad, Jared, and this is what he wrote (he told the teacher that he calls his dad, "game", but he really doesn't).
The funny thing is that he didn't know how to ride his bike until this past August when we actually grounded him from playing video games until he knew how to ride his bike.
Totally made my day.
