Cutest Kids in the World

I am so lucky to have, in my opinion, the cutest kids in the whole world. It has been so amazingly nice the past few days so today we went for a little stroll to the park. So, here is a random pix amongst the park pix. Last Friday was movie night. We watched Puss and Boots. The kiddos loved it.

Here is everyone swinging away.

This is Calvins first time in a swing. He LOVED it. just sat their and giggled, he was pretty cute.

Smart little guy has figured out that if he opens the bottom drawer he can crawl in it, then stand up and open the third drawer up. Most the time he accomplishes his goal of emptying the drawer of all its contents. But sometimes as he is stepping back while opening the drawer he actually steps out of the bottom drawer onto the floor as you can see in this picture.

Valentines and February Madness

Valentines has come and gone! My cute kiddo's had a great day at school. They were able to give their valentines and after school they all sat on the living room floor looking at their cards and eating candy. Lucky for Sidney, Kaleigh and Hagen were very generous with their candy since she didn't get any valentines from friends.

We had a little dinner as a family and when I set the table I put the kids valentines on their plate. Sidney and Kaleigh both got new earrings. Sidney got flower earring and Kaleigh got peace sign earring, which she has worn everyday since. Hagen finally got a Webkinz that is a black bear. He loves it and is so excited to play webkinz when he comes home from school. Little Calvin got a shark Pillow Pet. He had a blast rolling around on the floor and hugging it. I don't think that he necessarily likes sleeping with it.
My cute Kaleigh got her hair cut. It was starting to get long, but straggly and not so healthy. So Kaleigh and mom went to Fantastic Sams and she got her hair washed (which, she thought was super cool), then cut. It is really cute. After the haircut we went to McDonalds and had a little dinner. It was a fun outing for the both of us.

We are working on the walking thing. Calvin will walk if he is holding someones hands. But given the choice he would gladly drop to his knees and crawl or be carried. In 10 days he will be one, so hopefully he decides that he wants to start walking soon.

It is very normal for Calvin to fall asleep in his high chair. Since I work a graveyard shift I try to get a little shut eye in the morning. I will sleep on the couch while Calvin and Sid play and by 11 am Calvin is ready for a short snooze. He will crawl up with me and sleep for 30 minutes. Then he is good and ready to go. I have been trying to get him to just take one long nap. But when I cut out the thirty minute snooze this is the result at lunch time. Usually he only half his food eaten and most the the time his eyes are closed while he is shoving food in his mouth. One day I am going to video this. It is pretty funny.

You can't see Calvin's face but he is covered in yogurt. Sid likes to share her food when she is eating. I missed the great camera shot. This is the picture I was able to get, but originally when I walked in the kitchen they were both under the table and Calvin was laying on his back with both feet straight in the air while Sid is feeding him yogurt.

January 2012 fun

Finally, we have snow. I was pretty certain that we weren't going to get any snow at all this year. But we got this, didn't get a lot but Kaleigh and Hagen were excited to be able to make a snowman.

January is not the most eventful month, normally, but thanks to my super hero's it has been a little crazy. Thanks to little Boston donating his dress up to my kiddos we have not had a dull moment. Hagen lives in the batman costume. As soon as he comes home from school he dresses as up in his batman attire. You would think he wouldn't wear the gloves as much, but he does. He gets very sad when he has to take them off to eat dinner or even do homework. Poor kiddo!
We have been cleaning out the office and found the remotes to the cars that we bought at yard sales these past years. So we charged them all and Jared and the kids took them outside along with the cars Hagen got for Christmas. They had so much fun, they didn't even complain that they were cold.
Hagen eventually gave up on the cars and pulled out his skate board.
Aww... my sweet Sid loves the cars.
Calvin thought it was pretty cool to stand at the door at watch everyone outside.
Here is little Calvin eating Mac and cheese. He is almost 11 months!! He wants to eat everything that we are eating and is getting so big.
Here we are at Trafalga. This year we got the 7 peak pass of all passes. We play miniture golf at least once a month. The kiddos really enjoy it, plus it is kinda funny watching them.
Hagen and Kaleigh
Sid and Dad getting some tokens to play games.
Calvin was sleepy after a long night so he took a little snooze while everyone played games.

Sidney's Nursery Graduation

My cute little Sidney graduated from Nursery! Cute little thing was so excited that she wouldn't even go into the nursery room that day. She kept telling the teachers that she was a big girl now. She is in a class with about 8 other little three year olds and they are so stinking cute.

Here she is with her little friends.

Christmas 2011!!

Christmas is finally here! After much anticipation the day has finally come. And finally this year I wasn't the first one up. Hagen came upstairs and was really excited and after he woke up the girls, we were able to open gifts. We had a nice day, we were able to attend church and have a small family dinner. But most of all we were able to reflect on the many blessing that we have received through out the year and to also be thankful for the generosity of those around us in our time of need. We are so blessed and we have the most amazing ward and neighbors. Calvin wasn't sure what to think of it all but had a blast getting into all the gifts that weren't his.

The kids all got scooters.
Kaleigh got Monster High Dolls, webkinz, and a new purse
Hagen got the Joker tower, more batman charectors, and a nerf machine gun
Sidney got a walking dog, princess vacuum, and a playhouse

Calvin got a piggy bank, car toy, and a drum

Jared got a new watch, tools, and a BYU sweatshirt and I got a new coat, slippers and a electric blanket (not sure why Jared thinks I need that ;) )

Homemade Family Gifts 2011- Christmas Eve

So on Christmas Eve we have our little tradition where drink hot coco, read from the bible, and then the kids get their pajamas. But I don't think we need anymore pajamas so in an effort to help the kiddo's realize that Christmas is about giving and not what they receive we decided to draw names and who ever they got they would make a homemade gift. I think that overall it was a good experience and something we will continue.

Hagen had Sidney and he made her animal finger puppts Dad had Kaleigh and with the help of a co-worker he made a cute bracelet for her.

I had Calvin and I made him a cute pillow, crib size.

kaleigh had Mom and she decorated a picture frame for me with peace signs and bug stickers, since I call her bug.

Sidney painted a picture frame and drew a picture. She made sure Dad knew that he had two arms on his body in the picture. It was cute.

Calvin had Hagen and with the help of Mom we made him cute Star wars finger puppets. They were pretty awesome!

Santa Visits at the Smith Family Party

Oh, I am such a slacker. Here it is mid January and I am barely posting my December pictures. So, in December we have our Smith family party. We went swimming, at breakfast/dinner and then Santa came and we opened presents. Calvin wasn't very happy with Santa, he wanted nothing to do with him. He cried the entire time he was in the room until he left. Then he stopped. Poor little guy!

These two cute kiddo's live in their dressup. So when we came home from swimming. This is what they changed into.

Hagen sang the best songs for everyone!
